Director of Investment Banking

Location: McLean, VA

Classification: Full Time

Compensation: Competitive; base salary plus a performance based bonus and potential for other equity compensation.

Position Description:

Galen Capital Corporation is a private equity and merchant investment firm dedicated to growth of middle market companies. Company offers range of transaction execution services in mergers, acquisitions, equity and debt financing, leveraged buyouts, mezzanine, private/public placements.

The Director of Investment Banking in McLean, Virginia will report directly to the Vice President of Investment Banking and work with a group of experienced professionals as they generate ideas, advise clients, and execute transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting and developing a portfolio of middle-market corporate relationships, liaising up to the Chief Financial Officer level including all aspects of structuring capital market transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions, making recommendations and providing workable solutions tailored to each client, managing and monitoring the current portfolio with particular emphasis on leveraged and non-investment grade companies, gathering and analyzing financial and other information in regards to potential and current clients, creating financial models, conducting financial statement analysis, and discounted cash flow analysis and executing transaction scenario models for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital formation and leveraged buyouts. Qualifications include superior academic record, at least five years of investment banking experience, strong corporate finance and accounting skills including valuation methodologies, financial modeling, and analyzing and diagnosing corporations, excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong interest in a long-term career in investment banking, great personality, strong work ethic, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Power Point, Word, and all applicable computer tools. NASD Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required at start of job. We want someone with Investment Banking experience who can immediately produce results.

• At least 5 years of investment banking experience
